About Us

Hi there! I'm Caroline, the founder and owner of The Monkey Box which specialises in high end, trendy baby and children's accessories.     

I started the business in 2017 whilst I was on maternity leave from my full time job after the birth of my first born, Harry (my own cheeky MONKEY).  I've always dreamt of starting my own venture and being a mum, naturally I wanted to spend more time with my son which being my own boss gave me the flexibility to do.  I went on to have another gorgeous boy Freddie in 2019 and together they make me complete and I do this for them to be able to drop them off, pick them up and be there in the school holidays.

Where did the name come from - So my very 1st house I bought with my husband basically looked like a big brown cardboard box with zero character and Harry my little Monkey came along and I called it The Monkey Box. As my business would be ran from home what better name to use. I wanted a name that was a bit different like Moon Pig, Funky Pigeon etc etc and to be honest I never actually thought it would take off and I would be able to make it my full time job so felt like it didn't really matter. Really I would love a better name but it meant something at the time and I'd struggle now to change it. 

Working from my home in Bury just north of Manchester I started small, selling dribble bibs primarily. Little did I know that it would snowball in to what it is today... 

I'm passionate about the products that I sell, I would not sell anything that I would not buy myself and I source the best quality products and try to provide them at the best prices possible. My aim was to quality that you might not find on the high street and I strive to provide great customer service.
